About New Gold

New Gold is an intermediate gold mining company. The company has a portfolio of four producing assets and two significant development projects. The New Afton Mine in Canada, the Mesquite Mine in the United States, the Peak Mines in Australia and the Cerro San Pedro Mine in Mexico (which transitioned to residual leaching in 2016) provide the company with its current production base. In addition, New Gold owns 100% of the Rainy River and Blackwater projects, located in Canada.

New Gold is committed to excellence in corporate social responsibility. We consider our ability to make a lasting and positive contribution to our host communities to be a key driver toward achieving a productive and profitable business. At New Gold, we contribute to sustainable development by ensuring we have an understanding of the impacts of our activities on local communities and the environment, and mitigating them. We apply this approach throughout the mine life cycle, from early exploration through development and operation, to decommissioning and mine closure.

New Gold is a signatory to, and business participant member of, the United Nations (UN) Global Compact. We joined the UN Global Compact because we share its principles on human rights, labour standards, care for the environment and anti-corruption. These principles guide our corporate policies and management standards, and set the framework for our Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.
